I think I answered your questions on the forum recently But I'll do the same here for others. I made the little buttons from aluminum rod but in order to use the 1/4-20 screws it requires installing "nutserts" into the mating holes. The strut rod and engine covers were all painted with a high temp engine paint, brand name "Plastikote" called Ford Red #206 Engine Enamel. I did not prep any of the parts nor did I clear coat afterwards. The paint in these photos is three+ years old so you can see how well it holds up. The main cover has a few nicks around the edges cause it gets pulled off rather frequently.

Nice looking engine compartment. Where did you get the kit? I am in search of a nice kit but can't seem to locate one. Thanks for your help.

Where did you get those little aluminum looking fasteners for your trim pieces? That looks great! Also, did you just paint the OEM engine cover or is that a new part? Thanks.
